Short-listed in the Cumbria Tourism competition

The good news is that Hall Hills, with its self-catering cottages in Cumbria, has been shortlisted for Cumbria Tourism's self-catering holiday of the year for 2009. Out of 88 entrants to the annual competition Hall Hills is in the final three. We are keen to hear the results when the winner will be announced early in May.

Keswick Guest Houses With Bed and Breakfast

Hall Hills is branching out from just providing 5 star self-catering holiday cottages It has built up a fair amount of experience promoting its own business online and has taken the decision to offer that skill and experience to others in the business. Because the people at Hall Hills have a particular tie to Keswick they have chosen Keswick guest houses as their niche market. Guest houses offer bed and breakfast accommodation but are larger and have to comply with stricter standards than plain and simple BnBs. Guest Houses are also massively popular with visitors to the English Lake District. Far more visitors choose to stay in guest houses than in hotels.

As a first step we have set up a website to promote Keswick guest houses and another to advertise our web design service in Keswick

Lasting Impressions

We really don't like to boast but in the cut-throat world of marketing you really don't have much choice. People who have been to stay at Hall Hills self-catering holiday homes say that they have been impressed with the tranquility of the location. People enjoy sitting out on the private patio gazing across the Roe Valley at the rolling Cumbrian landscape. It is so peaceful. And the location is also so convenient. It is only a 15—minute drive into the Lake District national park and less than that into the historic city of Carlisle. In the immediate vicinity are some picturesque Cumbrian villages such as Caldbeck and Heskett, and the Scottish Borders are also within easy reach.

One visitor recently also said that the standard of the accommodation was more like that of a five-star hotel than what one would expect of a self-catering cottage. The seventeenth century stone barns have now been converted into individually designed self-catering holiday properties that it really is a joy to stay in. Features that can't fail to impress are the exposed beams and the solid oak floors. And they are also equipped to such a high standard with everything (including broadband, satellite television and an integrated sound system) that might be desired at a self-catering holiday cottage in Cumbria.

Hall Hills (http://www.hallhills.co.uk) really is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday.
